Wednesday, new person at work! Bruno! For the first time in a long time I feel like I can breathe. Like my lungs are working again. Tania came over, I burnt her burrito. She’s getting reallly good at the Rubiks Cube.

June 18th, 2026

Thursday! The one day she wanted to do the things I’ve been trying to do for weeks I didn’t bring it. I have been lugging that dnd set around for a month now, I even brought it camping. I finally gave up, thinking it’ll get done when it gets done and this girl texts “I wanna finish my character” AGHH!! I love her.

Other than that she is destroying that Rubik’s cube.

Despite today being the barbecue, I wouldn’t say it was a hard day. Maybe a little frustrating, but overall quite easy. THIS GUY!!! I ASKED HIM TO SWEEP THREE TIMES AND EVERYTIME THE FLOOR NEVER GOT CLEANER I FINALLY HAD ENOUGH AND DID IT MYSELF!!!

I wasted like an hour outside Tania’s house just doomscrolling. She is not happy about it. I’m also not happy about it. I’m happy when I’m with her, and yet I spent an hour less than a phone call away from her. I wasted our day. Of all the times I complained about there never being enough time in the day, for all the hours I complain about being wasted on the drive over, for every second I wished was with her. :(

June 19th, 2026

Friday was such a breath of fresh air, It is such a relieving feeling to go into work and not feel like death. I had enough people I actually felt relieved, like I didn’t bear the world upon mine shoulders. Bruno is cool too, Drez and I got to pick her brain about anime. I think If this Friday is any indication of what the summer will look like then I very may well just enjoy it.

After work I made my way over to Tania’s. We got to celebrate our fourth month together at a Keg a little ways a way from her. I had the best steak, and she got to have some actual good steak after the disaster that was camping. Our server was so kind as well.

June 20th, 2026

We turned in so early on the Friday, I must have slept 9/10 hours. We watched superstore while Tania ate her breakfast then I got ready to go for Ren Faire. I had hoped we could squeeze in some time to play but I suppose there wasn’t enough.

I left for Vaughn and got there in 40 ish minutes. When I arrived I got to watch a jousting match, the Milcz and I met up afterwards. Then roamed the grounds, Nico and Tito Arni caught up to us some hour later. The whole thing was mostly walking the grounds, seeing the vendors. Any food stalls had lines wrapping around the venue, and any attractions had little to no signage for time or location.

Every other faire I’ve been to has had an itinerary. It was insane to believe that the one in Toronto couldn’t piece something together. I picked up a white tunic, a little satchel for my belt and a tiny bauble for Tania.

We ate pho afterwards and then said our goodbyes.

My love fell ill to some sort of plague, she rested for most of the afternoon and evening, she only woke so we might create her character for our dungeon run. Afterwards we promptly fell back asleep.

June 21st, 2026

Holy shit the sky is a field of pink, orange and yellow stretched out forever. I’ve had my rose coloured glasses off for some time now but just for a minute did this make me believe I had them back on. Maybe everything will be okay. The clouds move at so slow a pace, so steady a beat that they seem dormant, sleeping. It’s gorgeous. And to see it backdrop all the tops of houses. What a sight to behold.

I spent a little too long at Trinity Commons. What was supposed to be a simple in and out Dollarama visit became a 2 hour Doomscroll. When I finally did make it home I played Tomb Raider while downloading The Fall of Avalon: Tainted Grail.
