September 22nd, 2025 - Drez's First Day

I fixed the body and the spirit followed

Good morning!! Today is Drez first day! I had my alarm set early to make sure I got there before him, lest he be stuck outside. Nene texted, I’ll look when I get the chance. I hope for the best but brace for the worst.

Drizzy and I got here around the same time tbh. I let him in and got him as well acquainted as possible. Liz kind of got in my way in regards to my teaching but it’s fine; things can be fixed later. I think he did well for the first day, but it’s difficult to say. It wasn’t exactly a normal day, the circumstances are strange these days. Liz took off before service. I think we held it down well though! We sat for lunch and Lu joined us, we’re all trying to learn Spanish and she’s trying to learn English.

Drez and I were there until 5. The process of cleaning isn’t arduous when we’re fully staffed but with only 2 people? It becomes tedious. I wanted to show him the gym after work and somehow he got my ass lifting weights and breaking multiple sweats. I saw myself in the mirror with the glisten of my sweat and hyped myself up. I should do more cardio and plan that date with Sara. Fuck around and find out. I fixed my body and my spirit followed.

Drez and I traded albums as we got in our cars, I gave him Blush - Kevin Abstract and he gave me Nascent - Don’t Grow Up Too Soon. Some of the first few songs were aight, but I really liked “spinning these blocks” the skit that follows and the song that follows that. I liked that the song plays into the previous skit. “Mangosteen” was also a fun bop.

When I got home, Freya was outside playing with Logan; she saw me and yelled out “Kuya!” I immediately turned the car around and she chased me down the street. I parked the car laughing and she got in so I could drive us home.

I’m in now, I’m pretty exhausted. Just replied to all the texts I had. I think things are looking good with me and Nene, which is good. I hate to anger her, she deserves all the happiness in the world. I can understand her anger but I could only hope that she wouldn’t carry it with her. I didn’t mean to upset her. I’m kinda tearing up. :,(

I got back to Raj and Chino. Dave and I are planning out Saturday. Drizzy has a Jays game on Wednesday, my fomo kinda lowkey going crazy but I’m trying to take Sara out that day. Someone I also need to text back. I’m giving Drez my hello kitty back pack to borrow.
