The view in the mornings is gorgeous. We spent the early day packing. Around 930 we headed out of the hotel to find food. We found a small hole in the wall breakfast place at the same market we’ve been coming to. They sold drinks that came with complimentary bread. I strange way of selling food and yet! Everything was delicious. I had an iced matcha latte with red bean then blueberry jam on my milk bread.
We grabbed a taxi from the hotel to Shin-Osaka. On the way I was reminded of Night City. This time around it was early morning, the differences were apparent and plenty and yet I couldn’t shake my mind from thinking about when you’re in a skip-able car ride in the game. I mean you could but why would you want to? The scenery is so nice and there’s so much to look at. Every building is older than you with the richest of histories, everyone’s outfits are so planned out and amazing to look at. The women are so pretty and all the fits are tuff.
We bought our tickets for the bullet train, a four hour ride awaited us. I tried watching chainsaw man on the train but the wifi was iffy. I fell asleep around Osaka and woke up close to Tokyo.
When we stepped out of the station I found it so strange how it looked almost like Toronto. Buildings made of glass and steel and concrete. That grey scale I’ve grown so accustomed to, nothing like the colour, size and scale difference of Osaka. We took a taxi to our hotel. It’s on the waterfront, so far from the actual city. It’s an hour away from Shibuya, from Shinjuku, from anything. I feel like Batman. With my mansion so far from the city I need to take my express Batmobile into my crime infested city. I am- so close! And yet so far. Like, this is simultaneously the closest I’ve ever been to the things I like and yet I feel so far.
Anyway, all of the 1/12 props I picked up are so cool. I love diorama stuff. I binged Chainsaw man as much as I could before knocking out.
