I knocked out early. I’m fighting the jet lag to the best of my ability but my internal clock is all kinds of screwed up. I was down at 7 and up at 12. I couldn’t knock back out, unfortunately I didn’t exactly spend my time productively. It was straight doom scrolling and… research for 6 hours. I finally got hungry enough to leave the bed around 7. We were out of the hotel an hour later. Just enough time for me to catch the first episode of SpyxFam S3.

The train was a little difficult to navigate but overall it’s a really intuitive system. And it’s amazing. Imagine taking a train from Sauga to Scarborough in 30 minutes, what a world that would be. We’re on our way from Osaka to Kyoto and it’s only going to take 30 minutes. Woah. Also the view is gorgeous! I’m looking at a mountain rn. A million parks. !!!! There is one thing I want to do on the train, maybe two. I wanna get the shot of me like I was Yuji in the season 1 op. Then maybe I’d like a pic of the inside of the train like I was Chainsaw Man. GOD I WISH I HAD MY CSM SUIT!!! ARGHHH!!!!

I watched the city scape turn into mountainside, I watched the modernity turn ancient as we got closer and closer to Kyoto. We passed a bamboo forest and I am reminded just how different the landscape is from the concrete prison of Canada.

I just had the greatest dorayaki of my life and the guy in front of me is scooping the matcha filling from his. It’s also the best matcha I’ve ever had, too. We’re in Kyoto Tower waiting for 1030 so we can go to our Kimono / Yukata appointment and the boy refutes the idea of eating good food.

I got this shii on. Mfs be mad bc no one else got this shii on but me rn. Aha-ha. Ahem-! It was a really long process, I think they were super busy and they can only dress 3 people at a time. They had us pick out every piece of our clothes and then bound us up hella tight to keep everything on; then sent us on our way. We didn’t really know what to do, where to go. We found a temple to walk around in for a while then had sushi, yakitori, and tempura at this lil restaurant across the street.

My idea for my Yukata was Gojo, Wakana not Satoru. Yet as we were leaving I realized I could’ve gone more Inuyasha, more Miroku. It’d have to wait until next time.

My mom wanted more pictures, instead I accidentally took us to a market that was waaaayyyy too packed to do so. I wanted more pictures too. I hope she got enough. I hope I did. Regardless of the proof, I will always know that I had that ish on and it was phenomenal. It was a long walk, all of us were tired. I almost died because there’s 0 traction on my shoes and the whole ground is slippery. We took a taxi back to Kyoto Tower, we got our clothes off, we took the train back to the hotel.

I grabbed some ramen from 7/11 and then watched another 2 episodes of SpyxFam before knocking out. Again, around 7.
