A stressful day at work is best rewarded with retail therapy. Today I bought a figure I’ve been hunting down for some time. Mezco Superman Deluxe Edition. I picked him up from Gotham Central, a local comic book store that holds many memories for me. I had seen some of their Instagram reels since they've hired a younger guy, I genuinely think he’s fantastic. He breathes life into every frame and when we spoke briefly today as he was helping me, I think he is a genuinly kind person. To Arthur, I am so sorry for hating you bc I was jealous you worked there when I never had the chance lmao.

Back to Superman. He is so much fun! I freed the lil guy from his plastic prison and posed him to my (and hopefully his) hearts delight. The accessories on him are plenty and he brings the widest of smiles to my face. While I drove to Erin Mills I held him in my hand the entire time, imagining him flying through the air. After 30 mins of flying with the Man of Steel I had arrived at the mall. I was there for two things. - 1.) Crocheted flowers for my mom and the mothers in my life a la my coworkers. (In a perfect world also my cousin, my lola, and two of my aunts, but I only have so much money) - 2.) A cake for my mom!

Both of these were quick and easy, I had seen a stall selling the flowers a while back and they had a really nice selection to choose from. I picked out a bouqet for my mom and individual flowers for my friends'. Then in place of a cake I bought some Ube Pandasal from The Purple Bakeshop, a favourite of my mother and I. With gifts in hand I headed to Dollar tree to pick up a couple of cards then went home. I planned to cut my hair and take a shower but my late afternoon was spent writing a card for my soon to be Godson. I looked at the time and realized I was late to pick up my brother, I scooped him up and in my haste, failed to notice how close to the curb I parked my car. As I pulled away, Scrckkk Ugh! I scratched the paint on my car!! :c My uncle consoled me as a I held my sanity together. When I got home I inspected it deeper, it isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I would've preffered not scratching it at all. I spent the rest of the evening rewatching Brooklyn 99 and playing with Superman. As I write this I am reminded of wanting to write about how beautiful spring is, how it makes me long and yearn for a partner to share life with. Another time. I wish you all the happiness in the world! - Dyl
