May 7th, 2025 - Service and Starts

Today was easy! Work did not batter me broken, bloodied, and bruised black and blue. It was kind, it was easy, it laid a hand on my cheek and whispered in my ear, "I love you." And for that I stay. I refuse to keep the evil in my mind, I will see the good in everything until it kills me; and it will kill me.

Anyway, work was easy. Driving to KIA Lockwood was easy, even enjoyable. Spring was in full effect today, the sun kissed my skin and the sky painted herself across my irises. What a serene sight to see the flowers bloom and the trees blossom. I could smell the air, it was not acrid or evil, it lifted my spirit and healed my soul. After I made it to KIA I finished Tom Taylors run on Nightwing, Volumes 6 and 7 respectively. I knew he and Bruno Redondo had crafted something special when I read that first volume. For the longest time it felt like Dick was just doing whatever, directionless adventures. Not since Dixon and McDaniels have I felt such love and care for the boy wonder. It was really good, I was trying not to cry in the lounge. It definitly had its ups and downs but I had fun and I really cared. Sad to see it go, but I have heard only good things about Dexter Soy and Dan Watters run and so I am filled with hope! I finished service and watched my sister's performance of Moana, it was fun! Not to overshadow my own blood, but I think Maui was the stand out. I know my sister has been talking about this for ages, so I'm glad I went, I only wish she had a larger part to play. Okay! Well this is the first step, after years of inaction and inneptitude I have finally made... something! I hope beyond hope to polish this craft I have begun. I always loved the quote.
