What a silly little life I live. I had the greatest day in a long while. I love my friends with every muscle fibre in my heart, every ounce of my soul, more than they could ever know.
We went to Robin in the Hood Festival in Elmira, an hour away. The drive was fine, Martin, Ryan and I were able to catch up in the car and by the time we got to the place we had a good rhythm going. I enjoyed just walking around seeing the other cosplayers and all the vendors.
We got there early in the morning and had yet to eat, we filled our bellies with the smallest and priciest hotdogs our shillings could purchase and made our way to a birds of prey show. We learned of hawks and owls. Hawks are lazy and would prefer to expend as little energy possible when they hunt. Owls ears have a secondary function in that they aid in camouflage, breaking up the circular shape of its head. Also, you can just give an owl a chick and it will adopt it?
We wanted to do archery but I think my friends were getting antsy and the line was pretty long. I bought a new cloak, a cape pin, some earrings, a new Sword frog and a frog for my tankard. With my shillings spent we watched a small entrance ceremony. It was aight, I liked the Niagara one better; but I still enjoyed it. Though Martin and Ryan definitely picked at its flaws.
We made our way back to Mississauga and ate at Pho Mi 99; A classic. Ry had to get out of there pretty early so we dropped him off so he could go to volleyball. Martin and I weren’t done hanging out just yet, so we trekked to untouchables to try and buy Sepiroth the MTG card but they didn’t have it. We bought Baskin Robins instead and then we went to Streetsville’s Bread and Honey Festival.
It was also aight. In hindsight today was lowkey a fail, HOWEVER!?! I had a really good time, it isn’t what we do but who we do it with that matters. Martin and I have this chemistry that ignites even if we haven’t seen each other in months. Our boy periods sync up and we are perfectly in tune. Even the worst of jokes could make the other laugh. We got to streetsville and walked in the hot ahh weather to bread and honey, high key a bust. We just walked in, around and then back out. We wanted to go bowling but it was reserved so we just went home.
We were supposed to play games together but I had so many errands to run. Womp womp, today was still magical. I hope we can go out again soon. I wanna plan a pirate ship escape room for my birthday!
Goodnight, I love you!! - Dyl
