It’s not a very exciting week. If I were a great hero of old I’d probably leave this one out of the great scripture of my life. Maybe not embroider it into the tapestries. That’s not to say it’s a terrible week, it just… it’s not an important one.
I’ve spent the greater part of it trying to heal, recover from the last sickness of the year. I fear however I’ve reached that late stage of the process where there is no healing left but to live. I have no shortage of things to do, I just haven’t been doing them in claims that I’m still sick, still recovering. Though at this point I fear it becomes less of a reason and more of an excuse. I have no issue with my health beyond this cough, and I believe it will last me into or just before the New Year.
Things exclusive to today however, a really fun day at work and the ending of My Hero Academia. The former was thanks to our Christmas exchange being held today and just the most lackadaisical of days. We had lunch ready before 10 and then got to sit down and play our little game exchanging gifts. Tell me now, why I’ve walked away near three years in a row with scratch tickets. The most inhumane gift just after a gift card. My only solace is that it won me $23 this year. With that said, I’d prefer something… material? Something I can compare to with my coworkers. Tita Gina got a karaoke machine and immediately put it to use as a P.A system for the kitchen.
The rest of the day was smooth; at home, I was able to finally get my illegal sites up and working to finish off My Hero.
And what an ending! The epilogue is something I don’t entirely care for. It’s not bad by any means I just… I don’t rightfully care for where these characters end up 8 years later. It’s nice to see I just- I don’t care. The ending however? The culmination of 10 years worth of content, the hard work of every in universe hero working together to push Deku further towards his goal until finally he can take down All for One? Great stuff, brought a tear to my eye, I don’t care how cheesy that shii was. “You Say Run” started playing and I already knew the tears were coming.
