plan hangout with family for today
Book airbnb for September
Text mfs back
Write letter to nene
Write letter to Klarence
Figure out what I’m doing with that pig
Read my fathers emails
It’s been a semi productive morning. I just need to reconfirm with everyone and then I’ll book the airbnb; and I’m just waiting for Nico to wake up so I can plan today’s hangout.
Beyond that, I don’t really feel like writing letters today, blegh.

I made my way to Gotham Central and tried to get my hands on old Nightwing comics but Carlos said he didn’t have them ready like that. I’ll have to inquire as to how to procure them another time. I walked out of the store with some back issues I really liked and, AND! He not only recognized me, but realized my name was wrong in his system, 2 minutes spent learning my name. I’m not saying he’s committing me to memory but- maybe it’s time to make a box there.
I was gonna hit Retrorare up but nene asked where I was. I completely forgot we were supposed to meet at 4 and it was already 4:09. I got my ass to Sherway and she informed me she’d be there at 5:30ish. I wasn’t trying to get there so fast, it was a genuine mistake. Like- I just ended up there early accidentally. I walked in but felt weird perusing without anyone so I headed back to my car, the fool in me took the long way outside and I got back to my car drenched in sweat.
I decided to read in the indigo. I pulled out Blue Sisters and got to work but I was incredibly distracted, the atmosphere was not conducive to me remembering very much. All I can recall is that Lucky is straight forward, confident, and loose.
Shawty surprised me as I was getting up to go, she (my cousin) gave me a wrapped gift and it was… a Jellycat! The very same that she has so we could be Jellycat twins. I like it, I hung him from my belt like a labubu, I still don’t have a name for him yet. We walked around the store and looked at some cool things before we left with Georgia Teowes, “Nobody Asked For This.” And Antony Johnston’s “Can You Solve The Murder?” I haven’t read mystery in a while so I thought maybe it was time.
We went for bubble tea and picked up Nico just before going to Eataly. Gotta be honest with you gang, those Italians got me on the ropes. Fuckin’ focaccia? Gyaddam. I could eat that shit forever.
My mom and Freya joined us shortly and we split up. Nico and I took Freya into the middle of Sherway, HP had some sort of booth going on that let you win what I thought was a pencil case. Freya played the Plinko variant, the goal was to drop your disks into 3 HP holes. You’re given 5 disks, so five tries. Freya got 5 X’s AND 4 of them in the same hole. Nico, the guy running the stall, and I all had our mouths agape. The guy chuckled and gave Frey her case; inside was not pencils but metal straws??? AND LIKE- GOOD ONES, WITH A CLEANER??
We brought Nene to do it too and she got all HPs with 3 in the same hole. Segovia women I fear are too powerful. The HP people gave all of us straws and it was time to go.
We got to the Pho place first, then Tito Arni, the Tito Arman and them. Dinner was nice, I wish I could spend more time with everyone, like individually. Somehow 2 hours isn’t enough. I long for the days of my life where I would spend every Saturday at a Filipino party from morning to night. I really feel that doesn’t happen anymore. I think all the Tumbokon’s kinda just hang with their own now I guess. Hmmm.
Anyway, I don’t know who paid so I’m not able to thank them but we took Tito Arman with us to the escape room. Tita Rose and Tito Arni came to just to look. We started our room, THAT SHII WAS SO FUN. I love escape rooms, I wish they were cheaper but I get it. I think we got way too many hints, though we probably wouldn’t have made it without some. There was a working water fall and a whole ass sword, I felt like Percy Jackson.
We took pics for after, I wish I gave a big toothy smile. I gave a lackadaisical smirk trying to be cool but my family was earnest, I wish I joined them.

I drove nene and Nico home and headed back myself. After parking I found that my sister had left a minefield of vomit in front of the house. I already took my shoes off in the car. This was nasty asl.

When putting my books away I realized I already had Georgia Teowes’, “Nobody Asked For This.” Uhhhhhh, I guess I’ll return it later.
